Terms & Conditions
By booking services with VanTous Ventures, you (the "Client") agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully before engaging in any services with us.
1. Services Provided
VanTous Ventures provides moving labor, furniture assembly, delivery services, and heavy lifting. We do not provide the moving truck unless otherwise arranged. Additional services such as packing/unpacking or long-distance moves may be available upon request and will be detailed in the service quote.
2. Booking & Payment
2.1. Quote & Payment
All service charges, including mileage fees and additional services, will be discussed and provided in a quote before the job begins. Quotes are subject to change depending on the job's scope and any added services not discussed at booking.
2.2. Deposit
A deposit may be required to secure your booking, especially for larger jobs. If a deposit is required, the job will not be confirmed until the deposit has been received.
2.3. Payment Methods
We accept cash and e-transfer as methods of payment. Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
3.1. Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of your deposit or a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the estimated job cost.
3.2. Rescheduling
If you wish to reschedule your booking, we will do our best to accommodate your new requested date, subject to availability. Rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a rescheduling fee.
4. Liability for Damages
4.1. Client Responsibility
While we take the utmost care in handling your belongings, VanTous Ventures is not liable for any damages to property, items, or belongings that occur during the course of the move. Clients are responsible for properly packing and securing their items.
4.2. Fragile Items
VanTous Ventures will not be responsible for damage to items of exceptional value, fragile, or delicate nature (e.g., glassware, electronics, art, antiques, etc.) unless specifically disclosed to us prior to the move. Clients are encouraged to purchase third-party moving insurance for valuable items.
4.3. Disassembly & Assembly
While we offer disassembly and assembly services, VanTous Ventures will not be liable for any damage to furniture or equipment due to pre-existing wear and tear, defective or inadequate materials, or improper assembly methods.
5. Delays
VanTous Ventures makes every effort to complete the job on time. However, we will not be held responsible for delays due to traffic, weather conditions, vehicle breakdowns, or other unforeseen events beyond our control. Estimated completion times are provided as guidelines and may vary depending on circumstances.
6. Limitations of Liability
VanTous Ventures is not responsible for any consequential or indirect losses, including loss of business, profit, or emotional distress, arising from delays, damages, or incomplete services.
7. Zero Tolerance Policy
Abusive behavior, unsafe working conditions, and substance abuse are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of services without refund.
By booking services with VanTous Ventures, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions. These terms apply to all services provided unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
